  • Kick off Ottumwa Oktoberfest and join the Ottumwa Rotary Club for the annual chicken barbecue. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children and can be purchased from any Rotarian. Dine in or Drive Thru available.

  • Performing a variety of tunes over a range of genres, the Chickadees love to harmonize their voices over the sound of the acoustic 12 string guitar. Listeners can expect to be captivated by well-known favorites and refreshing originals including influences such as Fleetwood Mac, Taylor Swift, Maddie and Tae, Patsy Cline, Lainey Wilson, and more. From Riverside Casino, to the Iowa State Fair, to small-town family events, the Chickadees are sure to appeal to all audiences.

    The Ottumwa Oktoberfest Kiddie Parade will be taking place on Friday, October 4th, at 6:00 p.m. The parade will organize in the parking lot of St. Patrick’s Church. Please arrive by 5:30 p.m. with your assigned number with you. Kids are to enter the parking lot from Ransom Street. The parade will start from Ward Street then proceed down Church Street ending in the parking lot of South Ottumwa Savings Bank. No vehicles are allowed in the parking lot for the safety of the children.

    Awards will be given in each category.

    Classes are as follows: 0–1-year-old, 2-3 years old, 4 years old & Kindergarten, Grades 1st & 2nd, Grades 3rd, 4th & 5th, Group Category, Floats Category (no motorized vehicles).

    Registration is due by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4th. NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE TAKEN AT THE PARADE! Please register by emailing marketing@sosb-ia.com.
